How do I order for my school?
Vortex have been authorised by every school we supply to provide their approved uniform through our collect and deliver service, directly from our factory or through our online web shop.

Do you stock items to take straight away?
We stock items for secondary schools. All other school's uniform is to order and can be collected or delivered to home for a charge. Here is a list of schools currently stocked: Horizon, Netherwood, Kirk Balk, Barnsley Academy, Astrea Academy Dearne, Holy Trinity and Penistone Grammar.

How long will my order take?
Approximate lead time on embroidered orders is around 2 weeks, and up to 3 weeks for personalised items. We will call or email as soon as these are ready for you. Home delivery orders are sent via our royal mail tracked 48 hour service.

Do you accept returns?
In order to obtain a full refund or exchange, customers must return items with proof of purchase and items must have tags and all original packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot exchange or refund any items personalised with names or initials. We also do not exchange or refund any worn or dirty items that are incorrect size. You must return your item within 30 days of purchase.

What if my garment is faulty?
If your item is faulty, we will refund, repair or replace the item within 30 days of purchase, providing you have proof of purchase. We do not accept items that have obvious customer defects, related to wear and tear, washing conditions, items being the incorrect size and faults related to accidents e.g. getting caught on something. We will repair or replace faulty items for up to 6 months, with valid proof of purchase. All other items returned for a refund or exchange must also be returned within 30 days of purchase.

Can you embroider my own garments?
We can only embroider your own garments with the permission of your school.

Can you embroider or print names on my garments?
Again, we can only embroider names or initials with the permission of your school. Due to child and data protection we can only personalise garments if the school and the parents approve it.

Do I need to make an appointment?
No, you do not need to make an appointment - just head down to our shop on Grange lane to try before you buy.

When is the best time to visit the shop?
It's recommended you visit the shop in the morning - lunchtime and afternoons between 3 and 5pm are always busiest.

How many people can I bring to the shop?
It's recommended you avoid visiting the shop in large parties and only bring those who are absolutely necessary.

Will this size fit my child?
We recommend visiting our store to try on the sizing samples, as some of the sizes vary across the brands we stock. We are working on building accurate sizing guides into our website.

Do you still offer the school drop-off service?
From the 28th April 2023, we suspended the school drop-off service. You will still be able to collect and have your items delivered to your home through Royal Mail.

Are you open on Saturdays?
We are not open on Saturdays, but we will review opening again in the summer months if it is economically viable.
